In the end, the purchase of the jackets was a success for all intents and purposes. There was every possible scenario it seems. Many folks bought jackets and got what they wanted. Some got what they ordered but wanted changes usually in colour. One ordered and recinded the order. One ordered a coat and then just stopped communicating and never bought the coat. This wasn't an issue since many wanted to order after the fact so I was never stuck with any coats in the end.
The quality of the coats were very good. The OWA crest did not fit on the intended spot in the vest since there were 18 pockets everywhere and the crest couldn't be put over a pocket.
The source supplier in the USA, not our dealer here in Canada, bungled the order and did not order Khaki Vests and coats, but offered to replace them at no cost. Also the sizes of the coats was generous. Typically the coat was one size too large. Since the olive green coats and vests had to be returned for the khaki it was possible to swap and correct the sizes for most purchases.
